John McCain is a "Socialist" too!!

The only reason that he changed his position from being against the Bush tax cuts to benefit the wealthy was to run for president he needed to shore up the bast where those Bush tax cuts are popular. And since the majority of Americans believe in the progressive tax system doesn't that mean that we are all socialists because of the radical interpretation of socialism by the McCain-Palin ticket? Clearly so. I also find it ignorant to say that people who don't pay income tax shouldn't get a tax rebate.

This is because these folks do pay taxes in the form of sales tax, property tax, etc. and since consumer spending is a large part of the American economic engine giving money to the folks who buy the basics stimulates the economy. These are the folks who need the tax rebates the most. They spend that money on groceries, gas, tuition for their kids to go to school, etc. and that is spending that can be better counted on. Whereas giving money to the uber-wealthy isn't money that can be counted on to be put back into the economy because they tend to hord it and buy luxury items that are not industries that are commonly tapped by most people--the middle class. And it has been proven over the years that the middle-class is the bedrock of our economy.

This means that the foundation of the economy (small businesses) aren't receiving the majority of the spending benefits. Luxury boat companies, high-end jewelry stores and luxury clothing stores (Sara Palin) are not the mainstay of consumer spending. The only reason that the corporations have so much money is because of the worker bees that include folks who don't pay taxes because they don't have hardly any income. So by giving the tax cuts to the rich they are killing the goose that lays the golden egg. Trickle down economics has been shown to be a failure because the money doesn't trickle down enough, it dribbles at best.

------------

In other news, Sara Palin says that this election is in "God's hands" and that the "right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4." TPJ: So doesn't this mean that if Obama wins that "God" will be rejecting Sara Palin's form of Christianity? And that "God" supports the "godless" Democrats? It is so convenient for Christians to say that "God's will be done" but then when it turns out that the opposite happens they ignore it and keep doing the opposite of "God's" supposed will!! So they're just pissing their "God" off are they not? And one thing that I've always wondered is that if "God's will" is what will happen no matter how much you pray then what is the point in praying? It's totally illogical to me.

Absolutely freakin' AWESOME! I'm so not above throwing that right back in her face on the 5th. "So...Sarah...God's will right?"
