The Maids and Butlers of the McCain Empire. Plus, McCain Asks, "Dude, Where's My Car?"

My good friend over at Progressive Eruptions blogged on a new aspect to the John "Name that house" McCain dust-up:

The McCains increased their budget for household employees from $184,000 in 2006 to $273,000 in 2007, according to John McCain’s tax returns. The McCains pay $270,000 per year for butlers and maids--that's $50,000 more than the median value of an American home.

TPJ: Bloggers like my friend at Progressive Eruptions, many others and myself have been trying to make this point for months now that McCain is by far the elitist of the two. He buys houses like most people buy groceries at the local Sam's Club--in bulk. Now he's saying that some of those are "rentals." So that's supposed to make it better? In other words, he's making money off of housing while droves of middle-class Americans are losing their one and only home. I'm not saying that having rental properties is bad but if you're making the kind of money that they are you don't need a side income.

And now it looks like McCain is looking to add more elitism to his campaign in Mitt Romney as the likely V.P. choice. Romney of course has the kind of money that chumps like us can only hope to have through the lottery. Mitt's personal worth has been estimated to be somewhere in the rarefied air of $202 meal-lee-on dollars, that's NINE FIGURES!!! McCain himself is worth around $36 meal-lee-on dollars and his recipe felon wife Cindy could be worth at least $100 meal-lee-on dollars so combined they are worth at least $136 meal-lee-on dollars. Plus he greedily accepts veteran benefits!! He doesn't need them, he can pay for his needs with his own money. Now combine that figure with Romney's figure and you get a grand total of, $338 meal-lee-on dollars.

So what is Obama worth you ask? Between $500,000 and $1.1 million which is certainly not in the Sultan of Arizona, John McCain's elitist category by far. Forgetting that Czechoslovakia is no longer a country and not knowing how many homes he has aren't the only things that he's forgotten. Apparently he also doesn't know what kind of car he drives either:

In our News interview, he was asked what kind of car he drove. As with Politico’s question about home ownership, he didn’t know and had to ask a nearby aide. “A Cadillac CTS,” she told him.

Do you know what kind of car you drive? Of course you do. You rely on it to get you to your job that doesn't pay what it use to. It also turns out that McCain doesn't handle the family money which isn't a big deal for most of us as women handle the finances in many house holds. However, the difference is that McCain is running for president and will be in charge of our economy and yet he can't even handle his own economy!

AFTER THOUGHT: I wonder how many dog houses the McCain dog lives in?

How can Obama be an elitist if he's only worth $1.1 Million? After all, McCain says Obama is still Four Mil away from being rich. By the way, McCain's patio is probably worth three times the value of my home.

Handsome,

What do you think of VP pick?

Some Dems are really p.o.'d.

Obama is being pragmatic. Biden will help with the meat and potatoes Dems. Politics is the art of sticking constituencies together to make a voting bloc. Obama needs those right-leaning working-class voters.

Now we wait for Mc$ain.

I'm betting it'll be Romney.

Robert Rouse:

Exactly. My little triplex "house" is probably the size of one of their kitchens.

Shaw:

I think overall it's a good pick. He's really got some major foreign policy chops which should help some voters who think he needs some back-up.

It's Romney all the way I think.
