A decent ad for Obama. However, it is misleading for him to invoke Kansas. He never lived there, growing up in exotic Hawaii and Indonesia instead. And his anthropologist mom rejected Kansas values, marrying two Muslims.

I think it is great that he is airing this ad in a several red states. He's going to make McShame use up a lot of his cash trying to defend the red states so much he won't have anything left for the swing states or even make much of a dent in a blue state. Damn, I'm hoping against hope that Indiana goes the way we're starting to lean. That'll just blow those asswipes out of the water!

Thanks for the comment.

Yes he never lived in Kansas but he's not saying that in this video. He's saying that his grandparents who lived in Kansas and helped raise him instilled in him the values of the heartland.

I didn't grow up in the mid-west but my parents and grandparents did and they taught me those values just like he was taught them by his grandparents.

What's wrong with his mother marrying two Muslims? Not all Muslims are terrorists or "bad people."

By the way, I'm sure you know that Obama isn't a Muslim but that he is instead a committed Christian and has been for years.

As for Hawaii, it may be exotic but it is a great place to understand the strength and importance of diversity. I should know, my wife grew up there. He was exposed to all different cultures there as well as in Indonesia.

So I think that's a plus for him because it shows how broad minded and accepting of all people he is.

Growing up in such unique environments gives a person a unique, global perspective. I know that I was changed for the better for having lived in Africa.

It helped me realize how interconnected we are as a global community and that we have to live together and work together if we are going to have the best quality of life.

It helped give me perspective in how other parts of the world work. And Obama understands this from having lived abroad too.

Living abroad also gives you insight into how great it is to be an American and have the many blessings that we have. That is what Obama understands too. That is why he is so passionate about bringing people together from all backgrounds.

So that all may benefit.

Yeah he's airing it here in Colorado. I would love to see Indiana go blue. That would be a huge upset. My in-laws are up there but I'm pretty sure won't vote for Obama. Damn.
