Another day, another post about the media. Wag the dog time. So Reverend Wright spoke out in an interview last night with Bill Mohers and said that Barack's dismissal of his controversial comments is just him doing what he has to do as a politician. Insinuating that Obama wasn't sincere in his repudiations and now people are questioning Barack's motives around that race/religion speech. Just because Wright says that, however, doesn't make it true!!The media is reading into this way too much to stir up more shit to keep this race going so that they can continue to rake in the cash and viewers. The media loves to play this "guilt by association" game and people buy that shit. They know that we Americans are gullible and understand that Americans look to them for all their information to be spoon fed to them but they don't realize or don't care that what they're being spoon fed is contaminated.
Today must be a slow news day and they need to whip something up. Talking about the issues is apparently boring to Americans, we want our juicy tabloid drama to go with our slice of A.D.D.
I'm not playing anymore. I'm am very close to bailing on this country if I had the money to do so.

Would it have killed Rev. Wright to keep his damn piehole shut until after the election?
If I were Obama, I would be so irritated b/c it doesn't matter what Wright may or may not say about Obama, the media will spin it to fit their mold regardless. Even if he hadn't spoken a word about Obama, the media would have made a case out of that.
If Wright were a true friend he would have sucked it up and let the obsession fade; instead he has stirred up the storm of dysfunction again.
A true friend would know better.
It's a no-win situation. I'm convinced that the media is one giant personality disorder.
We could have a bake sale in an effort to raise money for your defection?? I can make some brownies for the cause...

By the way, where do you find these fantastic illustrations?
They are so right on!

I'm sorry to comment again James, but I forgot to mention something.
Did you see Bill Maher Friday night? He showed a snapshot of a sign in front of a church that said
"OBAMA" "OSAMA"
and then some ridiculous, relational implication.
The flag pin question...
These insulting correlations...
It's odd, I don't have the urge to strike out at these imbeciles per se. Instead I have the urge to hit myself in the face with a frying pan everytime I witness this literal stupidity and ignorance.
Isn't that a kick in the pants? Hit myself in the face...huh, must be some sort of Looney Tune influence from my childhood.
Nothing confirms the presence of a fanatical jackass like smacking yourself about the face and head, you know?
tis all.

This is OT, but I thought of you James when I saw this:

As for Rev. Wright: the media obsess on what is insignificant, and yet, I've read nothing about what I've posted on at my blog.
Far, far more serious.

Jenji: Yeah it is for his and Obama's good if he shuts up. Because it just gives more fuel to the fire of distractions. People are looking for any tie no matter how weak from Obama to someone controversial. Never mind McCain's own controversial past.
The media DOES indeed have a personality disorder.
The bake sale sounds like a great idea. I know how to make cinnamon pound cake...Mmmm...
I find my illustrations online via Google images.
Oh you're not alone in wanting to hit your head. I often want to smash my head through the t.v.
Shaw: Thanks for the link, I'm looking forward to perusing their site.
