Condoleezza Rice Visits Syria and Calls it a Success but Pelosi's Visit "Sends Mixed Messages" According to Bush

So Secretary of State Kinda-sleezy Rice met with her Syrian counterpart today in the resort town of Sharm el Sheik, Egypt and she called it "professional." I think it's great that she's meeting with representatives of Syria, however, there is a great dose of hypocrisy in this whole soup.

Yet when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D) of California (3rd in line to the presidency) met with Syrians she was rebuked by Bush saying her diplomatic visit was "sending mixed messages."

Bush wouldn't know anything about "mexed missages" now would he?? How about the "mexed missage" that was sent by blasting Pelosi and her delegation for going to Syria but being fine with the Republican delegation that went to Syria just before Pelosi. Hmm??

Response from the right wing noise machine on this hypocrisy??

(crickets chirping).

Veep Dick Cheney went further and called it, "bad behavior" which is funny because since when did we look up to Cheney to decide for us what is "bad behavior??" If Dick Cheney is your moral compass then you're way beyond my help--you've been brain-washed no less then a member of the Heaven's Gate cult.

And I don't want to hear that crap argument from the right that says it was NOT o.k. for Pelosi to visit Syria because she wasn't a member of the administration. Bullshit. She's THIRD IN LINE FOR THE PRESIDENCY!!! Not only that but America has a long ass history of House or Senate members visiting foreign governments.

They just can't resist fucking things up can they? Even when someone (Pelosi) went to Syria to try to help resolve the war they had to play their childish pissing territory game. I think that trying to end the war is more important then stupid, bureaucratic bickering. But then again I wouldn't expect many "right is wrong, wrong is right" righties to understand putting one's country before selfish face saving games. Then again this is what you get America when you vote for people who think the world is only 6,000 years old and quote an ancient mythological text to back that kind of crazy talk up.

And no I'm not exaggerating by calling the Bible mythological as mythological is defined as the following:

based on or told of in traditional stories; lacking factual basis or historical validity; "mythical centaurs"; "the fabulous unicorn"
