In the light of all these food scares resulting from tainted food imported via China I had a thought:So we're importing food from China which barely regulates anything and is tainted with all kinds of junk that is dangerous to our health and that of our children. Yet we can not import cheaper drugs from Canada because they might be dangerous?? I'll take Canada over China any day.
Sounds like typical conservative double-speak. In the end it's all about money. Corporations make HUGE profits in using cheap Chinese products that are made by workers who have to work in terrible conditions for little pay. However, importing cheaper drugs from Canada would limit the profits for the drug companies/lobby.
Pure and simple.

What the Chinese need to do is get out of the pet food business and get into the drug business. Fools! can't they see what Canada saw years ago?
PT:
They might as well.
PT, James... I think that assuming that Merck et al are not exploring how they might be able to manufacture drugs in China, would be naive.
Just saying...
love to see this discussion! It’s great to see you all working through the issues and also, it’s great to see recommendations for testing. In the end, it’s what your actual users do and prefer hat should be your biggest driver in making these decisions.
