One of our friends over-heard a conversation between two women in a store:Well, they got to talking politics and eventually began to talk about Hillary Clinton. Two of the women were talking about her saying that they could never vote for her or any woman because woman are not qualified to be president!!!!! They were saying that basically a woman's place is in the home barefoot and preggers. They went on to say that being president is a stressful job and woman can't deal with that kind of stress like men can!! I was blown away.
Now I don't like Hillary Clinton mainly because I support Barack Obama. However, I very much believe that a woman can be President of the United States of America or just about any country. This is equivalent of believing and saying back in the day that black people can't and shouldn't be president.
I'm just as sick of the Don Imus controversy as anyone but I heard something interesting on the Randi Rhodes show yesterday. She was bringing up the idea that maybe Imus is being scapegoated. Of course I was outraged over his comments and I think he should be fired but should Rush Limbaugh who says such things nearly everyday. Or Ann Coulter for crying out loud!! The list goes on and on amongst the conservative commentators: Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Bill Bennett, Neil Boortz and Glen Beck.

You are always going to have the "women should be in the kitchen crowd." They will not educate themselves to change their way of thinking. A woman is ready to become President. I just don't think it's Hillary Clinton.
As for Imus, he has been canned by NBC. The Republican Party and conservative base aren't worried about racism. They have shown us that for years now. They are just happy to see Imus go and maybe more listeners will come to those radio hosts that put forth the Republican hate message.
I don't care for Sen Clinton because IMHO, she's a Washington insider and too consevative for me. Nancy Pelosi, however....

well i am so sorry you don't believe in the Bible... there is SO MUCH proof that the Bible is true. there is scientific evidence, evidence in prophecy, and evidence in archaeological findings. one archaeologist was actually trying to prove the Bible wrong and went and did research and stuff trying to find all of this but he ended up becoming a christian because all that he found was evidence that the Bible was true. if you need examples then write back and ill give you specific examples.

women are extremely capable to become president. I believe we can do anything we put our minds to for the greater good. We belong in the house.... and the senate and as presidency. Its sad that even women dont support a women being president.
