I heard that Sen. Hillary Clinton is going to meet with the Rutgers Woman's Champion basketball team.
(shakes head) Boy she doesn't pass up an opportunity does she? Why is she going to meet with them?? What does she have to do with this whole affair? Nothing. Did she care about them before this controversy? Probably not. Did she really give a hoot that they won the championship. I doubt it. Who does she think she is?? These young ladies don't need her--it is apparent from their news conference that they can defend themselves. This morning the head coach said (after meeting with Imus) that "they" don't need anything else. Shrillary just wants the photo op and to make some grand statements about how she is this and she is that and blah, blah, blah. And as soon as this story has faded away she'll be on to the next photo op of the moment like a vampire moves on to the next victim to bleed. Can you tell I don't like her? :)
Who will she meet with next? Sanjaya from American Idol (I don't watch the show but catch the updates on Countdown) because he's the latest pop entertainment story?? This blogger wouldn't doubt it.
I know that she isn't the only political opportunist but she takes it to the next level--She's an expert. She's like that annoying person at a party who butts their head into every conversation trying to make everything their business. Or the kid in class that always over-achieved and kissed the teachers ass. Being smart is one thing--going for the A+++++ is another. I don't want another dumb ass like Bush but I also want someone who's alive and breathing. She seems like a robot that is programmed to know all kinds of facts who tries to be personable but it just doesn't look right--you can tell she's trying too hard. This move has me calling, "bullshit." She already looks conniving and meeting with these women isn't going to help that image. It's all about her and that's more than apparent. She plans everything out too much--and it shows. She needs to loosen up and go with the flow better.

Hillary seems more and more a person whose reactions scream "What can you do for me?" instead of "What can I do for you?" The country desperately needs a proactive "What can I do for you" leader these days...but I'd still take her given the choice between her brains and the chimpanzee in the Oval Office now.
Manual Trackback. This post is cited in a Blogmandu post, "Imus at Midnight."
Joe C:
Yeah, I would take her over Bush any day.
So what you're saying here guys is that women never SUPPORT one another. It's not about having their backs or anything. Like Hillary's never taken this kind of abuse? You yourself called her "Shrillary".
I didn't know about this, thanks for posting. It really doesn't surprise me.....what an opportunist.
She is a pandering opportunist. She would not get my vote under and circumstance. Frankly, I'm not impressed with any of the potential candidates on either side.
Fashion Girl:
No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying that I believe she's a political opportunist. I have no problem with her supporting other women.
However, her meeting with the team smacks of her using the news story to her advantage. I think it wouldn't look so bad if she just released a press statement.
Yes, I don't like her. Yes, I call her Shrillary. She annoys me and I don't like her stand on issues or her way of presenting herself. She comes off as shrill and trying too hard--in my opinion. I'm not going to apologize for that.
I'm not against women running for president as my previous post mentioned. In fact, I'd love a women president--particularly Nancy Pelosi but not Sen. Clinton.
U Liberal:
You're welcome. What an ambulance chaser.
Lynne:
Pandering indeed.
Trying to hard...the person at the party who buts into every conversation...that captures Hillary. I think she's very sharp, but she's just lacking some element of tact...there's just some human sincerity element missing...instead of surfing the waves that come to her, she's splashing in the ocean trying to create the perfect wave herself...just doesn't work that way.
Joe C:
.instead of surfing the waves that come to her, she's splashing in the ocean trying to create the perfect wave herself.
Well said.
