Despite doing next to nothing about global warming and environmental issues Bush claims that he "gets it." The White House claims that it's approach to such issues is a "model for the world."Yeah, whatever--maybe if we live in a world where the only country is the U.S. Then again that seems accurate and not exaggerated as the Bushites seem to think that America is the be all and end all of Earth.
Sure we are the most powerful country in the world right now but that doesn't mean we have the right to violate our stewardship and rape the Earth. That is abuse of our influence and power but since when has that stopped the conservatives.
The irony that I always find when talking about conservatives and environmental issues is that one would think that a "conservative" would be interested in "conserving" nature. However, that is not the case for the most part. The only thing that they conserve in regards to environmental issues is their profits from exploiting Mother Earth.

I think the man "gets nothing", really.
I agree. I found a picture that someone doctored that shows Bush standing near a ray of sunshine that goes right through his head and out the other side.
Maybe they're waiting for Jesus to tell them what to so.
to do ...stupid fingers always messing me up
The only thing that Republicunts are interested in preserving is obscene corporate profits.
It's almost like they think they can rape the earth and it will lead to something good...like maybe if they spread around enough depleted uranium and dump enough industrial chemicals in the river, some super algae will materialize to clean it all up and it'll actually be a good thing. And then, there are those who believe the Rapture is imminent, so there's no need to take care of something that's going away in short time and going to be replaced by a big Disney World in the Sky.

Sadly I think you're probably right. That's quite a bet.
U Liberal:
Absolutely. When they "think green" it's thinking about money.

Good point.I like how you put it, "The big Disney Land in the sky." Brilliant. :)
