Today is the sad, 4th anniversary of the war in Iraq:3,217 U.S. soldiers killed
24,000+ U.S. soldiers wounded
Iraqis killed: 30,000-100,000
The words of Rumsfeld speaking about the Iraq war echo in my brain on today's sad anniversary:
It is unknowable how long the conflict will last. It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months

And yet he asks us to "be patient". Where was his patience when he declared "Mission Accomplished" with the job just begun?
This patience that he wants Americans to have. We've had it for 4 years now. It's time to become impatient.
The whole point that the war mongering Reich-wingnuts are missing is that WE THE PEOPLE were led to beleive this war would be quick and painless, and it has turned out to be far from it. We've been fighting a rag tag insurgency for longer than we fought Japan and Germany at the same time.
Fashion Girl:
Excellent point. HE was the one who rushed into war!!
Brent:
Exactly. Impatience is a virtue in this instance.

Pretty sad that we've been in this mess for longer then WWII and specially as you point (Japan and Germany AT THE SAME TIME!!!).
He has broken our military, our bank, our good standing in the world and our very rights guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I guess he thinks the Bill or Rights means the "Bill or Rights to do what he wants."
