GOI: Oh, o.k. so now it's, "The booze made me do it." Also, notice how neither Foley nor the lawyer are naming WHO the clergyman was that molested him? I would think that Foley would want to publically nail that clergyman if this clergyman did in fact abuse him. Why protect someone that ruined your life? Kinda of fishy. Call me paranoid but I think I have more then enough reason not to trust anything this guy says anymore.
Other Foley fallout:
In 1995, male House pages were warned to steer clear of a freshman Republican from Florida, who was already learning the names of the teenagers, dashing off notes, letters and e-mails to them, and asking them to join him for ice cream, according to a former page.
Mark Beck-Heyman, now a graduate student in clinical psychology at George Washington University, and more than a dozen other former House pages said in interviews and via e-mail that Rep. Mark Foley was known to be extraordinarily friendly in a way that made some of them uncomfortable.
The sad irony about this is that if true then he was engaging in inappropriate contact with minors before he lambasted Clinton on his consentual adult affair!!
"It's vile," Foley said in 1998. "It's more sad than anything else — to see someone with such potential throw it all down the drain."
They hypocrisy is breath-taking. Again, the Lewinsky affair was between TWO CONSENTING ADULTS.
Plus, some Republicans are now connecting being gay with pedophilia which is sooo ignorant that you wonder if they fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down. Comparing homosexuality with pedophilia is like compaing apples to car batteries. Weren't even talking about comparing apples to oranges.
