An Israeli child signs a bomb as other children wait for their turn in line while the military stands by.

"From Israel and Danielle."

Notice the writings on the bomb which say:
"Nazrala (I'm sure they meant Nasrallah: The Secretary General of Hizbullah in Lebanon) whit love,"
Look at the glee on the faces of these girls. What kind of message does this reinforce in these children?? Hate, that's what. Allowing children to sign messages of hate on bombs meant for Lebanon is actively watering the seed of hate in the next generation. Surely these young children were encouraged to sign these bombs and that is disgusting. How did these children find their way into the zone of the military? It appears that they were purposefully brought in for the signings. And if they DID come on their own (possibley by their parents) why were they not turned away?? Especially since military installations are dangerous places during a time of war!!! Such lack of concern for their lives and fragile, impressionable minds!!! Children learn hate from adults.
There is a great amount of coverage and denouncement (as well there should be) of muslim children learning to hate Jews in textbooks in the madrassas. Yet here we see Israeli children being indoctrinated in a similar way. How can we ever expect the hate to stop with such brain washing on both sides?? This is abuse of children by both sides.
I post these pictures to show that Israelis are not exactly the "chosen people of God" that they claim. We are always told here in the west that Israel is ALWAYS the victim and whether it is unpopular to say or not the Palestinians have (and always have had to a certain extent) been victims themselves. And while I denounce the actions of Hizballah and Hamas with the strongest words and back Israel's right to defend themselves (and their captured soldiers), I can not sit by and say that Israel is never to blame.

Reminds me of that movie about the NYPD cop, Why We Fight:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/storyville/why-we-fight.shtml
His son is killed on 9-11 and he asks (successfully) to have his son's name put on a bomb to be dropped on Iraq, but eventually learns that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. It's a powerful story, well worth watching.
Muslims are taught to hate the Jews. Jews are taught to hate the Muslims. One wonders if these little girls know that those bombs may be falling on little Christian girls, little Muslim girls, in short little girls just like them?
This does Isreal no favors.
It wouldn't matter if they did know. Theya re taught from birth to hate the other... How sad. How terribly miserably sad...
I'm going to post this on all 3 blogs referencing this:
I have a few problems with this post and with the commentary responding.
My first question - What is your source? I can't find this referenced anywhere BUT on these blogs. I've searched and I can't find any reference, on major news outlets or anything else.
Secondly - why sign in english? Israelis tend to be fiercly proud of their nation identity, and I see no reason why they would not be signing in Hebrew unless the whole thing is propaganda - but this leads back to where is the source?
Thirdly - Assuming all of this *IS* real, I have a few points to make.
The first is that this is *NOT* a religious war. Unfortunately everyone just jumps to "the fanatics will kill us all" argument. This war is about land. land and power. Take a look at a map of the middle east and see JUST how small Israel is, and yet peoppel are screaming for them to give up more. The whole gaza strip, they took that over during the 6 day war when multiple arab countries attacked them and Israel kicked their butts! I don't see mexico lobbing bombs at the US asking for new mexico territory be granted back to them!
in this conflict, religion is more of an identifier and is NOT the cause of this conflict. Israel (like america is supposed to be) doesn't care about your religion as long as you aren't hurting anyone else. There are israeli arabs who are in FULL support of their country and are pissed at what the non israeli arabs are doing. Notice ARAB, not muslim.
Israel has created a "jewish state" on the principle that jews have been kicked out of just about every place they have tried to settle throughout history, and now that they are back where they started they are trying to create a safe haven for jews throughout the world. (jews define a group of people NOT just a religion)
Ultimately. THis is a war of Survival. Nothing more.
Plague:
Interesting and riviting movie indeed and horrifically ironic.
Kvatch:
Yes, hate only breeds hate.
ThePoetryMan:
It is sad.
Ilanna:
If you click on "PHOTO CREDIT" and "ISRAELI GIRLS" you'll be taken to the link for these photos on Yahoo News. As for the writing on the bombs there are plenty of Israeli's who know English.
Many Israeli's come from America and/or England. There are a lot of countries in the world with citizens who are fluent in Enlish.
I would ask you, why is it so hard for you to accept that Israeli's can be just as apart of the problem as anyone else? Israeli's are not necessarily always right just because they are Israeli's.
In any case, here are the links if you can not locate the hyper links in this post:

What a horrifying image. Little girls scribbling messages on actual bombs. And as Kvatch said, bombs that most assuredly will kill other little girls like themselves. Thanks for alerting me to this, James.
PT:
You're welcome. I just wish I didn't have to share such horrible images. The world is full of so much hate.
a sad commentary on the status of humanity...
all will continue until we recognize the threat that organized religion and faith-based power put on civilization.
One:
Yes, so many people killed in the name of, "God" and spirituality.
Well, I hope it's just propaganda. I fear it's not.
Hubris:
I hope so too. For the sake of our sanity.
