Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a firebrand Texan tainted by a lobbying scandal that ensnared some of his former top aides and cost the congressman his leadership post, won’t seek re-election to Congress, MSNBC's Chris Matthews reported Monday night.

The Associated Press quoted unnamed officials as saying DeLay also is likely to resign his seat and leave Congress by the end of May.

Haha paolo I was thinking the same thing. Negative personal campaigns...you mean like morphing a verteran triple amputee's face into Osama bin Laden's? Yeah, maybe that's what he meant.
Then there were the comments from DeLay while visiting with three young boys who were evacuees from Katrina living in Houston.
DeLay likened their stay to being at camp saying, "Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?"
They nodded yes, but looked perplexed.
