This from The Associated Press:
A Marine amphibious assault vehicle patrolling during combat operations in the Euphrates River valley hit a roadside bomb Wednesday, killing 14 Marines from the same Ohio battalion that lost six men two days ago. It was the single deadliest roadside bombing of U.S. troops in Iraq.
GOI: This is the same Marine unit which lost 6 soldiers the other day. Over all, 43 soldiers have died in 10 days. Despite these heavy losses their is discussion over a slight withdrawl of American troops in a year. Which is (ironically) right before the mid-term elections and cable "news" is avoiding this story like the plague. Nice (rolls eyes).
