Let me preface this post in saying that one of the head-lights in our VW Beetle went out a few weeks ago. Well, my poor wife started driving home from Denver last night and the other headlight conked out!! So, there she was with both head-lights out. Luckily the fog lights gave her enough light to see and she was able to get the car home safely. We looked in the VW manual on how to change a light bulb for a Beetle (I know...thats the start of a good joke) and the manual just simply said, "go to the dealer." So, we have to take the car to the dealer just to change two light bulbs!! And you know how expensive the dealer can be when doing any kind of repairs. With that in mind it will cost us $40 per headlight!!...Ha! Those damn things better shine on into the next century for that price!! Anyway, thats the latest drama in our lives. I'm sure you're all thrilled beyond measure. Those new VW Beetles are good little cars. They are fun to drive and have quite a bit of room in there. I recommend them to anybody. Expect be prepared to take the car to the dealer if the headlights go out lol.
